habe im Forum nichts dazu gefunden. Ich habe den Matomo Tracking Code über den Tagmanager eingebunden. Jedoch soll dieser auf bestimmten Seite (Datenschutz, Impressum) nicht ausgelöst werden.

Ich habe einen Trigger/Impuls “Seitenansicht” für alle PageViews und entspechend zwei Impulse für Seiten mit der Regel: Seiten-URL enthält /datenschutz/ bzw /impressum/

Im Matomo Tracking Tag ist der Impuls “Seitenansicht” bei “Führe diesen Tag aus, wenn einer dieser Impulse ausgelöst wurde.” eingetragen. Die anderen beiden sind bei “Führe diesen Tag nicht aus, wenn einer dieser Impulse ausgelöst wurde.” eingetragen.

Im Debug Modus sehe ich aber nur den Trigger für alle Seitenansichten, nicht die anderen beiden. Entsprechend wird auch der Tag ausgeführt.

Auch auf anderen Seiten wird nur der eine Impuls ausgeführt, obwohl auch andere Impulse wie oben angegeben werden. Beispielsweise für den Live Chat auf unserer Seite, der nur auf bestimmten Unterseiten ausgefüht werden soll. Der Live Chat wird geladen, der entsprechende Tag taucht aber nicht im Debug Modus auf, der Trigger auch nicht.

Vielleicht weiß jemand Rat oder hat einen Tipp.

Hello,

we are using user-ids and so far its fine, but based on the documentation of
https://matomo.org/docs/user-id/

The follwing metrics should be available:
Visits, Unique visitors, Users, Actions, Actions per Visit, Avg. Time on Website, Bounce Rate, Conversion Rate.

But we only see:
Visits, Actions, Conversion Rate

Any idea why they are missing?

Hello everyone!

I’m trying to delete some logs of a website using GDPR Tool, but I’m having a Issue when query exceeds 400 records. Matomo returns an error message saying “Please specify a value for ‘visits’”.
If query is under 400 records everything is fine.

Setup:
Matomo On-Premises 3.14.0
PHP 7.0.33
Windows Server 2019

We track two custom variables and would like to view some statistics about our users. But, we don’t want to have the other custom variable inside the statistic. Is there a way to hide or disable it?

Matomo supports multiple containers, as stated in the documentation (https://developer.matomo.org/3.x/guides/tagmanager/embedding#multiple-containers).

Our use case is as follows:

• We have one container which contains a basic version of our tracking code
• We want to extend this code on a site-by-site basis (e.g. customer-specific customizations)

My idea is to include the basic container on all sites and to create customer-specific containers for the customizations.

The appropriate extended container would also be loaded.

However, there seems to be no control over the order of loading of the containers. And as the code in the extended container depends on objects defined in the first, the entire construct only works by chance, depending on the loading order.

Is the idea not possible? Or should it be possible?

p.s. the documentation is somewhat unclear, as multiple containers are discussed but then states “To use both tags, simply copy both embed codes inside your website, ideally one directly followed by the other.”. But tags are not analogous to containers.

Currently using a php server-side shortening service called YOURLS. The setup is on a different domain (https://www.example.ME). My Matomo install is on (https://analytics.example.COM) Is there a way to generate tracking to the Matomo install (where example.COM is setup in the dashboard with javascript code and a site id) from the .ME domain?

Apparently there was a plugin for YOURLS that used the PiwikTracker.php and setup to track links to the .COM site. But it no longer works and has not been maintained to work with the current release of Matomo.

YOURLS generates dynamic links to create the shortcode. My use if for audio and video links that are not contained with a web landing page, but just a link to a folder on the example.ME site.

I’d love to hear nay thoughts about getting this accomplished. I’ve seen a few queries about this but no followups.

Some context: I’m working on a project that uses Drupal as a digital archive for storing all kinds of assets like images, videos, datasets, etc. where each asset has a URL that includes a unique identifier. I’m working on building some blocks that would display on an asset’s page and show usage data for that asset, and I’ve already got some basic stuff working like pageviews and downloads for the associated files that work by getting the URL of the current page and then querying Matomo for data associated with that URL.

I’d like to make use of Matomo’s “Visitor Map” widget, which by default shows the location of visitors to your site in general, but I would like to modify it to show a map of visitors to a specific URL so that we can visualize where people are viewing a particular asset from.

My current thinking is that I should do this through the ‘segment’ GET parameter, but I nothing I try is working, I just keep getting “There is no data for this report.” for URLs that I can see visitor data from in the admin UI.

The API call I’m using to get the map, which I copied from the “Widgetize reports” section of the settings UI for “Visitors - Locations > Visitor Map”, is

http://localhost:8000/matomo/index.php?module=Widgetize&action=iframe&widget=1&moduleToWidgetize=UserCountryMap&actionToWidgetize=visitorMap&idSite=1&period=day&date=today&disableLink=1&widget=1

as I’m working in a virtual machine. http://localhost:8000 is the Drupal site sending the tracking info, and http://localhost:8000/matomo is the Matomo server.

Say for instance that I wanted to display a visitor map of all users that accessed http://localhost:8000/images/12345, how should I put that into the API call to get what I want? I’ve tried adding

&segment=pageUrl==http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%3A8000%2Fimages%2F12345;

and

&segment=actionType==pageviews;actionUrl==http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%3A8000%2Fimages%2F12345;

to the end of the original query and had no luck, I just keep getting “There is no data for this report.” even though I can see visits to http://localhost:8000/images/12345 getting tracked in the admin UI.

Hi there,

I’ve been using Matomo Javascript API to find out my visitor details whether they are coming in with organic, direct, referral or paid.

So far, paid works well and everything. However when it is organic and direct, the response I get from matomo is just empty.

I would like to know are there any ways that I can trigger the matomo API to send me the source of the visitor like how it should be in the visits logs?

Hi ,

We are using matomo 3.4.0 and trying to use Opt-Out iframe mentioned here:

but clicks are still being captured even if we opt-out and sometimes opt-out toggle is also not working.

Our site is not on matomo domain and matomo is working behind load balacer and deployed on nginx (ubuntu)

Can someone suggest what is the problem ?

Hallo, ich habe eine Frage / Betriebsblindheit / einen Bug(?) bzgl. der Zahlen in den beiden Reports Akquisition -> All Channels -> Campaigns gegenüber Akquisition -> Campaigns

Ich erwarte, dass die Zahlen in beiden Reports zu einer bestimmten Kampagne identisch sein sollten. Scheinen sie aber nicht zu sein.

Akquisition -> All Channels -> Campaigns gibt mir als Anzahl der Visits einer Kampagne die Anzahl 413 aus.

Akquisition -> Campaigns -> Campaign Name gibt mir als Anzahl der Visits der gleichen Kampagne die Anzahl 390 aus.

Außer in “Campaign Name” wurde der Kampagnenbegriff nicht verwendet (es gibt also den Kampagnenbegriff nicht noch einmal in “Campaign Keywords”, “Campaign Source”, “Campaign Mediums” o.ä.

Zeitraum & Segment sind natürlich identisch.

Wie kann dieser Unterschied zustande kommen? Nach meinem Verständnis verwenden beide Reports die gleiche Datengrundlage. Oder nicht?

Hello,

I am currently trying to run matomo in a multi server environment using AWS application load balancer
It works properly when I have only one operational instance behind the load balancer but when another one comes online I get the following error:

Error : Form security failed. Please reload the form and check that your cookies are enabled. If you use a proxy server, you must configure Matomo to accept the proxy header that forwards the Host header. Also, check that your Referrer header is sent correctly.

I checked my configurations and they’re all set as the documentation says in https://matomo.org/faq/how-to-install/#faq_98

I am using Amazon Linux, Nginx, and the latest version of Matomo

Also, I have a different environment running with the same exact configurations. The only difference is that I m using AWS ALB instead of a classic load balancer.

Any help would be appreciated

Hello there,

We’ve just started my analytics configuration with the following:

website to be analyzed: https://laplace.house + wp-piwik plugin
website with a self hosted matomo: https://laplace.house/visit

We followed the standard installation and setting procedure.(we’re not pros)

So now, after a while, matomo doesn’t record any visits at all.

And at the console we get the screen with:
“No data has been recorded yet”

We only want to see how our site is visited.

As we want to avoid google analytics we’re frustrated.

I’m trying to install matomo. I have my MySQL DB and I have PHP installed on a Windows 2016 IIS server.
The next step is to ftp the files to the server. The iis server does not have ftp and the instructions do not state to install/configure your iis for ftp services.

What’s my next step?

As far as I can see, I have the latest version of Matomo installed (version 1.2.0).
Marketing Campaigns Reporting (Matomo Plugin) version is 4.0.0

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

I am testing Matomo Tag Manager, but I am unable to send Events to backend.

What I have configured:

• Trigger “click-test” - Click element with ID “click-me”
• Tags - Event type; “test” as category, action and event name; executed when “click-test” is triggered.

Behaviour:

• Page views are being registered. But,
• If I use preview mode (i.e., using ?mtmPreviewMode=xxxxxx), I can see events being properly managed.
• If I don’t use preview mode, events do not appear on Dashboard > Behaviour > Events.

I don’t see any JS exception on firefox / chrome console. Adblocker is disabled. Apache access log shows no attempt to contact matomo backend when the event is triggered.

Nonetheless, If I change tag for custom html and inject a direct call to _paq.push([‘trackEvent’, ‘test’, ‘test’, ‘test’])… then it works! Even without preview mode. But then I lose the option to send the text of the button that has been clicked.

I’m using the latest version of browsers and matomo (3.14.0) on-premise.

Any idea on what could be wrong on my configuration?

Hello,

I had tracking Contents in tags for some elements with
data-track-content data-content-name="events views" data-content-piece="XX"

I have the good statistics in my Matomo (see image)

I want to give datas with the API ?!?

I can extract datas of the contentName “events views” or of the contenPieces BUT I would like to have the data as in Matomo :

contentName “event views” and inside, the numbre for each contentPiece :
For ex., an array : myArray[contentName][contentPieces]
